FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Zmation Announces Custom Die Press MoverMarch 30, 1998 -- Portland, OR, USA---Zmation, Inc. announced today the development of a custom device used to move heavy die press tools from a station to a storage rack. This mover was specifically designed for a customer that required an ergonomic device to assist operators when changing products on an automated production line. The mover is extremely flexible by providing a foot activated lift/lower, full rotation and height lock device. A customized high strength aluminum extrusion carrier with static dissipative UHMW inserts, allowing up to two (2) press tools to be loaded or moved when necessary. Hand retractable spring plungers keep the tool(s) from sliding off the mover during transportation and high strength braided cables/clips maintain the gap between the mover and press or rack. This system demonstrates some of the design and manufacturing capabilities of Zmation, Inc. for custom automation systems. Zmation also produces standard Automatic Dispensing Systems, Machine Vision Inspection Systems and robotic integrated systems for a wide variety of applications.
