Zmation Announces Custom Component Dipper SystemNovember 15, 1997 -- Portland, OR, USA---Zmation, Inc. announced today the development of a new low cost semi-automated custom Component Dipper System. This system was specifically designed to "dip" electronics components into a conformal coating bath thereby sealing them from external contamination. This system greatly increased production throughput, quality and reduced operator interaction with hazardous materials. Additionally, this system can be configured to meet many other semi-automated requirements for a wide variety of production products or processes. The system incorporates an adjustable pneumatic slide to gently lower the components into the coating bath. The electronic components are held in a custom holding fixture which is easily loaded and unloaded from the system. An adjustable electronic timer is incorporated to guarantee that the components stay in the bath for a specified amount of time. The system is activated by a foot pedal switch and can be configured for either domestic or export use. This system demonstrates some of the design and manufacturing capabilities of Zmation, Inc. for custom automation systems. Zmation also produces standard Automatic Dispensing Systems and Machine Vision Inspection Systems for a wide variety of applications.
