Zmation Announces Custom Robotic End-of-Arm Tooling for Injection Molding EquipmentDecember 5, 1997 -- Portland, OR, USA---Zmation, Inc. announced today the availability of customized Robotic End-of-Arm Tooling designed and manufactured for plastic injection molding equipment robots. Each of these tools are custom configured for both the robot manufacturer type as well as the part(s) being molded. The design of each tool is modular in nature and can be reconfigured for multiple part type usage. Each tool can incorporate various types of vacuum cups or pneumatic grippers depending upon the application requirements. All electronic signals and vacuum requirements are integrated with the molding robot. Additionally, "spru(s)" can be picked and degating can be performed if necessary. This demonstrates some of the design and manufacturing capabilities of Zmation, Inc. for custom automation systems. Zmation also produces standard Automatic Dispensing Systems, Machine Vision Inspection Systems, and Robotic Integrated Systems for a wide variety of applications.
